Orange High School

HistoryOrange High School began in 1912 as the first state secondary school in western New South Wales. Classes were held in the School of Arts building, Byng Street before moving to purpose-built facilities on March Street and Sale Street, which are now part of the TAFE complex.

The current high school on the corner of Woodward Street and Coronation Drive was opened on 13 November 1959. The principal at the time was Mr. O'Sullivan with an enrollment of 93 students and six teachers. Last edited by: Alison Russell
