Member Participation
Recollect Central West is a place to share our digital photos, documents, stories and memories of the people, places and streets of Orange and the Central West. By registering as a member, you can help grow this dynamic record of our region’s heritage.
As a member, you’re invited to add photos, stories, memories, and short video that relate to life in our region. The site was created to continually expand through public contributions, and your material helps preserve the local history of our people, places and events.
You are encouraged to contribute by:
• Uploading your own items
• Sharing personal stories or background information
• Adding recollections or details to existing records
• Helping identify people, locations, or events
Recollect supports all types of digital content, including images, documents, audio, and video, allowing the community to donate new digital assets directly to the site (size limits may apply).
Central West Libraries also welcomes original material for digitisation or donation. If you have photographs, memorabilia, or family collections you would like to share, please contact us — every contribution helps preserve our region’s history for future generations.
Guidelines of using Recollect Central West
- Do not post personal information about another member
- Do not use obscene language
- Do not insult or defame any person or organisation
- Comments on moderation policies or procedures should be forwarded via the feedback form to Central West Libraries – recollect@cwl.nsw.gov.au
- Breaches of the guidelines may result in a member having access to the site blocked, and/or content removed or edited
- Central West Libraries reserves the right to edit any information.
