NotesThe Banjo Paterson Writing Awards are held annually in Orange to honour the great Australian writer Andrew Barton (Banjo) Paterson, born 1864 at Narrambla, near Orange. The awards are launched each year on 17 February, the anniversary of Banjo's birth and close in May, with winners announced in August at the annual Orange Readers and Writers Festival.
