HistoryThe Congregational Church was founded in Orange in 1878 and first met in Lords Place where the Forester's Hall was once located. The present church on the corner of Bathurst Road and Dora Street opened on December 20, 1903 by the Rev Mathison MA.
Improvements were made in 1922 which include a school hall.
A plaque records: This Tower was erected in recognition - of the grace and favour of Almighty God - as a memorial of human service and - sacrifice in a time of great national - peril. 1914-1918, 1938-1945.
The Church held it final service on 11 November 2018 and was sold to private owners in January 2019.
